The Legislative Education and Practice (LEAP) program, sponsored by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and administered by American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS, has been renamed the Legislative Fellows Program (LFP). While mirroring many of LEAP's best qualities, the new incarnation is bigger, better and provides more opportunities for young professionals from Georgia, Russia and Ukraine to learn about U.S. government.

LEAPers Have Leapt!

American Councils is pleased to announce that the fall 2009 LEAP group arrived in Washington, D.C. in late August. After a successful arrival orientation in D.C. and team building activity in New Orleans, all Fellows have started their varied assignments at state legislatures and NGOs across the United States.
